World Patient Safety Day

World Patient Safety Day

What does patient safety mean when living with a chronic skin condition?

On World Patient Safety Day, we join the World Health Organization in highlighting the importance of keeping patient safety at the center of every medical decision. For people living with conditions such as psoriasis, treatment is an ongoing journey that requires continuous care, monitoring, and support.

At Almirall, pharmacovigilance plays a key role in helping protect patients throughout long-term treatment. By continuously collecting and evaluating safety information from patients, healthcare professionals, clinical studies, and real-world use, we can identify potential safety signals and take timely action to help minimize risks.

To mark this day, colleagues from across Almirall shared what long-term safety means in their daily lives. Their perspectives highlight the importance of maintaining a patient-centered approach throughout the entire care journey.

This initiative reflects our commitment to advancing dermatological science while keeping patient well-being and safety at the core of everything we do. Because effective care is about more than managing a condition, it is about helping patients feel supported and protected every step of the way.
