Sustainable procurement
At Almirall, we consider our suppliers to be an extension of our own responsibilities and a fundamental factor in the successful fulfilment of our commitments to the health community. That is why we believe that shared values around a sustainable supply chain are the foundation of long-term business relationships.
Our Sustainable procurement programme has different initiatives to promote sustainable and responsible businesses across our supply chain. Suppliers are also required to meet the standards set forth in the Almirall Suppliers’ Code of Conduct.

We onboard our suppliers through the platform SAP Ariba
SAP Ariba is the platform that we use to onboard and register our suppliers, as well as to manage certain purchases within Almirall. During the registration phase, triggered by an email notification, suppliers are requested to provide basic information and accept our Almirall Suppliers’ Code of Conduct.
- Suppliers must keep their company information updated in the SAP Ariba platform where they can view and manage the purchase orders and invoices.
- Suppliers will not be able to upload the invoice until the Almirall employee who requested the goods / services records goods receipt.

Worker accreditation system (through self-certification)
On-site services require suppliers’ staff accreditation in our Worker accreditation system.
Physical access to an Almirall work centre by suppliers to carry out on-site services requires that suppliers’ staff (own and subcontracted) are self-accredited in the Worker Accreditation Document (WAD) system, to ensure compliance with the Business Coordination Activity process (CAE management).
This process starts in the Ariba Supplier account by completing the HSE questionnaire.
