Pride Month 2026 with HS Connect

pride

As Pride Month comes to a close, we are reminded that the conversation around diversity, inclusion, and belonging should continue every day of the year. At Almirall, we believe that understanding the full patient experience means looking beyond the condition itself and recognizing the unique perspectives and identities that shape each person's journey.

To mark Pride Month, we talked to members of the LGBTQIA+ community who are living with Hidradenitis Suppurativa (HS) and are part of the HS Connect community. Through their personal reflections, Rae Adams, DestineĂ© Spurrel, and Cassandra Stand share their experiences of identity, visibility, and living with a chronic condition.

Their stories highlight the importance of feeling seen, heard, and respected. They remind us that healthcare goes beyond physical symptoms and that supporting wellbeing requires listening to the diverse experiences of the people we serve.

At Almirall, our commitment to medical dermatology is rooted in a holistic approach to care—one that values every individual and fosters greater understanding, empathy, and inclusion. By amplifying patient voices and creating space for meaningful conversations, we can help build a more supportive future for everyone living with skin diseases.
