Almirall appoints Alfredo Barón as Area Director Southern and Eastern Europe
Barcelona, 13 September 2011.- Almirall, the international pharmaceutical company based in Spain, has appointed Alfredo Barón as Area Director for Southern and Eastern Europe. Therefore, Alfredo Barón is heading Almirall’s commercial operations in the south and east of Europe.
Alfredo joined Almirall in 2000 as product manager in Marketing Spain. His professional career has spanned periods as Head of Marketing, Director of Sales and lastly Commercial Director during which he managed the product portfolio in the cardiovascular, urology and diabetes areas.
Speaking of his appointment, Alfredo Barón said: “I hope to contribute to Almirall’s achievements in Europe. This structure will enable the general strategy to be applied to the reality of each country and to promote the potential of our current product portfolio. We recently filed a respiratory product in Europe and we shortly expect to file another in the gastrointestinal area. This will enable us to offer new therapeutic options to society”.
