Finding the right partners, aligned with our values and commitments to the health community, contributes to the success of our business and is key to delivering our purpose.

Sustainability Standards, as outlined in the Almirall’s Suppliers Code of Conduct, list our expectations towards suppliers in the areas of ethics, human rights & labour, health & safety, environment and management systems.
Through these main KPIs we measure and monitor the development and success of the Sustainable Procurement Programme.

For those purposes, among other initiatives, we have in place a Supplier Engagement Programme with those suppliers that have a high impact on our carbon footprint, whose three key objectives are:

We work closely with our suppliers to gain understanding of their greenhouse gas emissions and how they impact our carbon footprint. This allows us to track their progress and fine-tune our strategy accordingly.

We communicate our ambition to our suppliers and aim to align them with our goals. This is achieved by establishing targets, implementing actions and identifying opportunities for emissions reduction.

Recognizing that some of our suppliers may need assistance in managing their greenhouse gas emissions, we offer targeted training and resources.
As part of our efforts to promote sustainability, we have implemented a Sustainable Procurement Programme and environmental strategy that includes SBTI-approved emissions reduction commitments. We regularly measure the programme's success and development through KPIs that have been redefined and communicated to the company's Sustainability committee.

The Pharmaceutical Supply Chain Initiative (PSCI) is a group of pharmaceutical and healthcare companies who share a vision of better social, health, safety and environmental outcomes in the communities where we buy. It was formed as a project between the 6 founding members in 2006 and was legally established in the United States as a non-profit membership organization in 2013.

As a member of the Pharmaceutical Supply Chain Initiative (PSCI) since 2022, Almirall supports its principles with respect to responsible supply chain management in the areas of ethics, labour, health and safety, the environment and related management systems. We also take these principles into account when we select and evaluate our suppliers.
Registering with the PSCI as Almirall supplier provides several benefits, including access to free webinars that offer invaluable insights on Sustainable Procurement practices, resources that can help enhance your company's procurement processes, attendance at supplier conferences for networking and further education, and training programmes that can build your team's capabilities.

Energize: Almirall is a sponsor of the Energize programme. The aim of this programme is to increase the use of renewable electricity in the pharmaceutical supply chain. Through this initiative, Almirall not only reaffirms its commitment to reducing its carbon footprint but also supports its suppliers in the transition to more sustainable energy sources.
